Tibet Lhasa Tour 5 Days

The city of Samye was built in 763 – 775 by Padmasambhava (Lopon Rimpoche) during the reign of Tibetan King Trison Detsen.

In the city you can visit Mindolin Monastery, one of the most important Red Hat Sect (Nyingmapa) monasteries of Tibet. The complex was founded in 1671 by Dieda Linba. The four main temples are being restored and in one of the temples you can find a fine statue of Sakyamuni. The monastery is approximately mid-way between Zhanang and Samya ferry.

After visiting Tsedang and Samye, we head out to Lhasa. Here we visit the impressive Potala Palace (the Palace of Dalai Lama), Norbulinkha Palace (the summer Palace of Dalai Lama), Jokhang temple, Drepung Monastery and Sera Monastery.

The tour departs from Kathmandu on Tuesday. According to your interest, places to visit within the tour can be added or omitted. We are flexible to design the tour to your interest. The tour can also be commenced from mainland China (Chengdu and Beijing).
